 Where are the Griffith apartments and what are they close to?

 These units are located in the inner South about five kilometres from the city and Commonwealth Park, the home of Floriade, and about the same distance from the National War Memorial by a very direct route.

 They are within three or four kilometres of other principal tourist attractions such as New Parliament House, Old Parliament House, the National Art Gallery, the National Library, the Commonwealth High Court, Questacon and St Christopher’s and St Andrew’s Cathedrals as well as a number of major Government Departments.

 The road system in Canberra is good and approximate travel times by car from the apartments to the major centres are:

            City  - 10 minutes,

            Woden - 10 minutes,

            Tuggeranong - 15 minutes, and

            Belconnen - 15 minutes.

 The public transport system also provides a good service from the apartments to these Centres.  The bus stop to all of these major centres is about 75 metres from the apartments.

 The café/dining/entertainment centres of Manuka and Kingston are about a kilometre away as is Kingston Foreshores and the apartments are only two hundred metres from the Fresh Food Market.  The local shops are within walking distance.

 Off-street parking is provided. And there is a swimming pool in the complex.

 

 How are the apartments configured and what do they look like? 

The GRIFFITH apartments are in a building comprising a ground floor and a first floor and are in two configurations.

             STANDARD STUDIOS – which are located on the ground floor and have a double bed or two single beds as required.  These units have a small private garden-courtyard with electric barbeque and outdoor setting.

             LARGER STUDIOS – which are located on the first floor and have a double and a single bed.  Larger Studios have a balcony with electric barbeque and outdoor setting.

 Cots, highchairs and foldaway beds are available on request.

What do the apartments include?

 Kitchenette

Fridge, two-hotplate cooktop, mini wall-oven, microwave, toaster, electric jug, electric frypan, sandwich maker, cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, saucepans and frying pan, teapot and coffee plunger, glass and plastic cookware, wineglasses and opener, salt and pepper shakers, washing-up equipment, tea towels, complimentary tea and coffee.

 Bathroom

Shower, toilet, vanity and vanity cabinet, linen cabinet, hairdryer, towels, hand towels, face washers, complimentary soap, shampoo and hair conditioner.

 Dining Area

Table and chairs, place mats.

 Living/Sleeping

Double bed (Standard Studio) or double and single bed (Larger Studio) with pillows, cushions, full linen suites, duvets and quilts, TV with remote, built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, bed lamps, clock radio (CD player in some apartments), iron and ironing board, clothes basket, vacuum cleaner.

 Balcony or courtyard

Electric barbeque with stand and cover, outdoor setting, clothes airer, mop and bucket, broom and dustpan.

 

 What services are available?

 Bed linen and towels

Bed linen and towels are changed weekly where stays exceed one week. Additional changes can be arranged.

 Laundry

There is an onsite coin-op laundry.

 Servicing of apartments

Servicing of apartments can be arranged at a charge of $35 per service.

 Continental breakfast

A continental breakfast can be provided at a modest charge.
