Kingston is one of Canberra’s oldest suburbs. It sits on the edge of the Parliamentary Triangle. Only 4 km from the city centre and only an 8 min drive from Canbhol. The inner south hub has long been favoured by locals for its unique shopping spots, laid-back foodie scene and the lively bars after dark.

Across the road from Kingston sits Canberra’s famous Lake Burley Griffin and Bowen Park. The Kingston Foreshore, or ‘the Foreshore’ as locals call it has many paths for lakeside walks or jogs and busy boardwalk lined with plenty of restaurants, pubs and cafes.

These include Penny University along Kennedy street, the Highgate Lane coffee roasters in Cusack centre. Be sure to also check out Silo Bakery and café along Giles street, well known for its tarts, pastries and artisan breads freshly made daily on site.

After something more on the savoury side? Checkout the popular burger joint Broadburger, The Dock or Walt & Burley
