Canberra will shine bright with culture and creativity as the capital lights up with the Enlighten Festival running from 28 February through to 15 March 2020. There will be so many things to see and do such as the Illuminations, Noodle Night Markets, Symphony in the Park, Balloon Spectacular and Skyfire. Who needs any more reasons to come to Canberra?
From 28 Feburary to 8 March, several sites in Canberra will shine brightly after dark with colourful projections. The National Library of Australia, Parliament House, Questacon, the Museum of Australia Democrazy, the National Gallery of Australia and the National Portrait Gallery will all be covered with wonderful large scale projections from 6pm each night. Additionally, there will also be live bands, roving artists and enchanting performances.
On Saturday 14 March, Lake Burley Griffin will be lit up for the annual Skyfire. The amazing light display with brighten up the skies with a 20 minute firework display accompanied by music from HIT 104.7.
Head to Old Parliament House from 6:15am to watch the hot air balloons take off from 7 to 15 March. The sky will be filled with 30 colourful balloons from around the world.
Canberra is turning 107 on the 9 March! To celebrate the big day there will be local musicians, street food, activities, plus more in the Parliamentary Zone starting from 2pm to 7pm.

On the 8 March at 7pm head to Stage 88 and sit back and enjoy music by the orchestra in the open air.
